What Are Teya's ePOS and Accounting Integrations?

One of the most frequently asked questions from businesses considering Teya is whether it works with their existing POS system and accounting software. For most businesses, the answer is yes. Here is a complete breakdown of Teya's integration landscape.

ePOS Integrations: Over 50 Systems Supported

Teya supports integration with more than 50 ePOS (electronic point-of-sale) systems. These range from specialist hospitality platforms to general-purpose retail tills.

Named integrations include:

  • ePOS Now
  • Loyverse
  • LS Retail
  • Lightspeed
  • Storyous
  • And many others available through the Teya Partner Programme

New integrations are added regularly. If your ePOS system is not on this list, check with your account manager or contact Teya directly at help@teya.com.

How ePOS Integrations Work: Two Methods

Teya ePOS integrations use one of two technical approaches.

1. Cloud Communication (POSLink)

Cloud Communication is Teya's cloud-based integration method. When a customer completes a transaction on your till, the transaction amount is sent via the internet to your Teya terminal. The customer taps or inserts their card on the Teya terminal, and the payment confirmation is sent back to your till automatically.

No Bluetooth pairing is required. No local network connection between your till and terminal is needed. Both devices communicate via the internet, which means the integration works across multiple locations and is generally more stable than Bluetooth-dependent integrations.

Loyverse, ePOS Now, and most modern cloud-based POS systems use Cloud Communication.

2. App-to-App Integration

Some ePOS systems integrate directly at the application level, where the ePOS app and Teya app communicate on the same Android device (the Teya terminal). This method is used by certain all-in-one till setups where the ePOS software runs directly on the Teya Pro terminal.

Accounting Integrations

Teya launched live accounting integrations in April 2026. Currently supported:

Xero

Teya connects to Xero to sync payment data automatically. On initial connection, Xero retrieves up to 12 months of historical Teya transaction data. After setup, new transactions sync in near-real time.

This eliminates manual data entry for card payments, reconciles Teya transactions against bank deposits, and ensures your accounting records reflect actual card revenue rather than net settlement amounts.

QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks integration works similarly to the Xero integration. On first connection, QuickBooks retrieves up to 2 years of historical Teya transaction data (a longer historical window than Xero). Ongoing sync runs automatically.

Both integrations are available at no additional charge. You do not need to pay for a Teya add-on to use Xero or QuickBooks sync.

Food Delivery Platform Integrations

Teya is listed as a payment partner or integration option by the following food delivery platforms:

  • Deliveroo
  • JustEat
  • Uber Eats

The nature and availability of these integrations varies by platform and market. If you accept delivery orders through one of these platforms and want to understand how payment flows work with your Teya account, contact your account manager.

No Extra Cost for Integrations

Teya does not charge extra for ePOS or accounting integrations. Connecting your Loyverse, ePOS Now, Xero, or QuickBooks account to Teya is included in your standard account.

Teya Partner Programme

Teya operates a partner programme for ePOS software developers, resellers, and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). If you are a software developer or reseller wanting to build a payment integration with Teya, the ISV programme provides technical documentation and support.

Setting Up an Integration

For most ePOS systems, the setup process involves:

  1. Logging into your ePOS system's back office.
  2. Navigating to Payment Settings or Integrations.
  3. Selecting Teya as your payment method.
  4. Entering your Teya merchant email, which must match the email on your Teya account.
  5. Saving. The integration activates.

For accounting integrations (Xero, QuickBooks), the connection is initiated from within the Teya app or merchant portal using OAuth authorisation to link the two accounts.

If you need assistance setting up an integration, contact your Klipy account manager or Teya support at help@teya.com.
